The UAE has launched IDEX 2025, showcasing innovations in defence technologies with 1,565 companies from 65 countries. The event emphasizes global security and peace under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Vice-President and Minister of Defense, today inaugurated the 17th International Defense Exhibition IDEX 2025. This year, the exhibition features the participation of 1,565 companies from 65 countries, which is 16% more than in the previous year.

This event continues to play a defining role in strengthening international defense partnerships and stimulating innovations in the field of security and defense technologies. 213 companies based in the UAE and participating in the event constitute 16% of the total number of exhibitors. The scale of the venue has increased by 10%, reaching 181,501 square meters.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the success of the event attests to its role as a leading platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as demonstrations of the most modern military solutions. IDEX 2025 showcases over 3,300 advanced products in the fields of land and air defense, artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and advanced security systems.

Recently opened Hall 14 features 341 exhibitors, complemented by diverse exhibits and a range of displays. IDEX continues to remain one of the most significant events in the global defense sector, acting as a catalyst for forming strategic partnerships and concluding international agreements in the field of defense.

"With the recognition of its importance, the UAE continues to actively participate in spreading the values of world peace, contributing to the development and support of a global community," said Sheikh Hamdan. "These are the key factors for development."

22% of the participants in IDEX 2025 represent companies participating for the first time. Seven countries, including Qatar, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Cyprus, debut at the event. The exhibition features specialized conferences and panel discussions dedicated to the future of defense industries and global security challenges.

"The recorded successes of the UAE in the field of defense industry demonstrate a testament to decades of focused work and commitment to the nation’s progress," emphasized Sheikh Hamdan. "This requires highly motivated armed forces capable of confronting any challenges and assisting the UAE in achieving its strategic goals."
